SPEED NETWORKING & CORPORATE CONNECTIONS PROGRAM
Saturday, April 01, 2017 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm
Concept: The Speed Networking and Corporate Connections Program is one of the HNBA’s signature professional and business development initiatives. In accordance with our mission, to enrich and diversify the legal profession, the Program is designed to promote meaningful business relationships between America’s leading corporate law departments and HNBA attorney members.
Description: This focused and intimate networking opportunity allows in-house counsel and government agencies with hiring authority to identify outside counsel in practice areas where the legal department has an identified need. Law departments also use the Program as a recruiting tool for internal placement opportunities.
Format: The first hour consists of one-on-one meetings (15 minutes each) between legal departments and their selected participants. The second hour consists of a networking reception that is open to all Program participants.
*Note: Only participants selected by employers to be interviewed will participate in the one-on-one meetings.
(1) Be active HNBA members with 5 or more years of legal experience practicing law.
(2) Be registered participants of the 2017 Corporate Counsel Conference.
(3) Timely complete and return required forms & questionnaires.
*In addition, the applicant’s law firm’s level of support must be at the Amigo level or higher (unless applicant is seeking employment as in-house counsel or with a government agency).
Law Department/Government Agency Eligibility:
Please complete the applicable questionnaire (for either corporate law department or government agency). In early March, the HNBA will grant you access to an electronic file containing applicants’ employment information for your review. The HNBA will also provide a form to identify up to four applicants for your one-on-one meetings.
