The 2015 HNBAAdvocacy Day on the Hill (previously “Legislative Day”) is the preeminent annual gathering in the nation’s capital, of HNBA members and supporters from across the country, to advocate on issues of importance to Latino legal professionals and to the Latino community as a whole.
The 2014 – 2015 HNBA Board of Governors authorized HNBA representatives, from across the country, to come to Washington D.C. to advocate for the following issues:
- Immigration Reform
- The Dream Act
- Diversity in Executive Appointments
- Diversity in the Judiciary
- The Equal PayAct
- End Racial Profiling Act
- The Mandatory Sentencing Act
