HOW IT WORKS

Concept: The Speed Networking and Corporate Connections Program is one of the HNBA/VIA’s signature professional and business development initiatives. In accordance with our mission, to enrich and diversify the legal profession, the Program is designed to promote meaningful business relationships between America’s leading corporate law departments, as well as federal agencies, and Hispanic legal professionals.

Description: This focused and intimate networking opportunity allows in-house counsel and government agencies with hiring authority to identify outside counsel in practice areas where the legal department has an identified need. Law departments also use the program as a cost-effective, recruiting tool for internal placement of highly-qualified Hispanic attorneys.

Format: On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. EST, we will host a virtual reception for all participants.  During the reception, we will break up into small virtual groups to facilitate connections and relationships.  During the week of April 26, 2021, we will schedule one-on-one virtual meetings (15 minutes each) for legal departments to video conference with their selected participants.

*Note: Only participants selected by in-house counsel for interviews will participate in one-on-one meetings, but all participants will have an opportunity to connect during the virtual reception.

After you register, HNBA/VIA will grant you access to an electronic file containing information provided by our applicants regarding their relevant experience for your review. The HNBA/VIA will also provide a form to identify applicants for one-on-one meetings, which will be held via video conference.
