2021 Corporate Counsel Conference & Moot Court Competition

Part of HNBA’s mission is to increase the number of future Hispanic lawyers. To this aim, the HNBA offers multiple educational pipeline programs and initiatives to assist in the upward mobility of the U.S. Hispanic population; to positively impact the quality and quantity of legal services available to Hispanic individuals; and to provide the diverse perspective and ideas that Hispanic attorneys can contribute to the legal profession and to the U.S. society as a whole. In addition, as the HNBA’s 501 (c)(3) charitable arm, the HNBA VIA (“Vision in Action”) Fund’s mission is to empower the U.S. Hispanic community through programs and initiatives that increase the community’s access and influence, and provide expanded education, career advancement, and leadership opportunities.

As the sole national membership organization for Hispanic attorneys, the HNBA is uniquely positioned to address the numerous and complex barriers to entry, promotion and advancement challenging current and future Hispanic attorneys. As a student volunteer, you will have access to thousands of Hispanic lawyers, law professors, state and federal judges, legislators, and other legal professionals able and willing to help you in the pursuit of your educational and professional goals.

You can help to fulfill the HNBA/VIA missions by volunteering your time and energy during the 2021 HNBA/VIA Corporate Counsel Conference virtual event. We ask for a minimum commitment of five (5) hours in exchange for the ability to attend the continuing legal education (CLE) sessions and the conference events at no charge.

STEPS TO VOLUNTEERING

STEP 1. Choose one volunteer option below and ensure you are available and can commit to being at the conference for the days and times (all times in ET) below:

Option #1: 2021 Moot Court Competition

• Bailiff Training – TBD
• Orientation & Competition Dates – Tuesday, March 9-12, 2021

Option #2: 2021 Corporate Counsel Conference

• Orientation – Monday, March 15, 2021
• 2021 CCC Event Dates – March 16 – 18, 2021

STEP 2. Complete the Volunteer Agreement found HERE. You will receive a confirmation of submission email.

ALL VOLUNTEER SLOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED.

STEP 3. Final selections will be made in early March 2021.
