2023 Encuentro with the GC
We need YOU! Calling all General Counsel and senior in-house counsel, please sign up for our Encuentro with the GC
This initiative aims to provide access and networking opportunities to diverse legal talent from across the country while raising funds for law student scholarships. We need you to donate your time to meet (virtually or in-person) with diverse legal talent, providing access and helping them boost their professional profile. The highest donation will get a meeting and the winners will be announced during the Gala at the 2023 Annual Convention in Minneapolis. You don’t have to attend the convention to participate.
All donations will directly benefit underserved students pursuing careers in the law, alleviating the financial burdens they face during school. Our goal is $50,000 and we need your support to achieve it!
Concept:
Encuentro with the GC is a career advancement and scholarships fundraising initiative driven by our mission to enrich and diversify the legal profession. The objective of this program is to cultivate significant business connections between prominent corporate law departments and HNBA attorney members, while simultaneously raising funds to sustain our invaluable scholarship programs.
Format:
The event provides a flexible format, allowing the GC/In-House Counsel and the winning donation to schedule a meeting at a mutually convenient date, time, and location. This ensures a personalized experience that suits the availability and preferences of both parties. Members will be able to view the participants in advance of (and during) the Annual Convention this September and will have the chance to make a donation to secure the meeting before the announcement of the winning matches at the AC2023 Gala. What We Need:
GC/Senior In-House Counsel signing up to participate, and during the Annual Convention in September, the HNBA Familia to view the profiles of our participating GC/Senior In-House Counsel and donate to win the meeting!
Disclaimer:
While participation in this event presents an excellent networking opportunity, it does not guarantee engagement or immediate business partnerships with participating companies and government agencies. However, it is an ideal occasion to connect and explore potential collaborations.
This is a perfect opportunity to support your legal community and contribute to the vision to support and empower underserved students, legal professionals, and community members, increasing their access to educational and career advancement opportunities. By participating in Encuentro with the GC, you help raise funds to enhance our scholarships and develop new initiatives that benefit the communities we serve.
To join us in this important program, please contact Aida Rodriguez at arodriguez@ascensionsearch.com to arrange your participation. We eagerly anticipate your response and working together for this worthy cause. Let’s make a difference together!
* In addition to GC’s, we welcome senior corporate counsel (Assistant General Counsel, Senior Corporate Counsel, Director, Head of Legal) with hiring/referral authority to participate. Donors should read descriptions thoroughly before placing the donation.
