HNBA Standing Committee on Endorsements
The HNBA Standing Committee on Endorsements is responsible for reviewing all requests for endorsements for judicial appointments with an emphasis on Article III federal courts or service in the U.S. executive branch with an emphasis on legal and policy positions. Those interested in an HNBA endorsement and assistance throughout the process should first contact their HNBA Regional President or a member of the HNBA Endorsements Committee, and complete the endorsements questionnaire form by clicking here. Please e-mail the endorsements questionnaire to endorsements@hnba.com. The HNBA Standing Committee on Endorsements Manual has all the information that you will need to understand the HNBA endorsements process. If you have any further questions, please contact your HNBA Regional President or a member of the HNBA Endorsements Committee.
The HNBA Endorsements Committee is composed of the HNBA President, the HNBA President-Elect, the HNBA Regional Presidents, the Chairs of the HNBA Endorsements Committee and the Chairs of the HNBA Endorsements Subcommittees. The Chairs of the HNBA Endorsements Committee and Subcommittees are listed below. The HNBA Endorsements Committee is supported by the Executive Branch Subcommittee, the Judicial Branch Subcommittee, the Coaching Subcommittee and the Supreme Court Vetting Committee. The Supreme Court Vetting Committee is only constituted when there is a nomination pending for the U.S. Supreme Court.
