Career Creating Charlas

Career Creating Charlas (Chats)

The HNBA/VIA has launched a new initiative, Career Creating Charlas, for anyone interested in Law School – no matter the age. Please complete this form and we will arrange for an attorney in your area to reach out and have a one-on-one, 30-minute virtual chat to answer questions including:

  • What is law school like?
  • What is the law school application process like?
  • What does a lawyer do on a day-to-day basis?
  • What does a lawyer look like?
  • What areas of law would you like to learn about?

So, if you or someone you know is interested in law school, sign up (link below) and let’s start chatting. Please include any other questions you may have and we will match you with a volunteer attorney.

Regional Youth Symposiums

Calling all volunteers.  Do you have 1 hour to volunteer to be a panelist and talk about your personal experiences related to the below?

  • Imposter Syndrome
  • Your Law School Experience
  • Taking the Bar Exam
  • Maintaining a Healthy Body & Mind While in Law School or Practicing Law
  • Lawyering in General or Leadership in Law

If so, we are looking for you!  We are looking for volunteers to be a part of the HNBA Regional Youth Symposiums across the nation.

The Regional Youth Symposiums are local mini conferences specifically created for high school and college level students who are interested in attending law school.  The conferences are designed to be informal and informative panels to allow individuals interested in law school to see behind the curtain and to learn what it really means to be a lawyer.

We are looking for volunteer panelists.  Please reach out to grissel_seijo@discovery.com if you can join us to speak about any of the above topics.
