LAW STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
We need law student volunteers for our 2024 HNBA/VIA Corporate Counsel Conference (CCC2024) and 29th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition. Part of HNBA/VIA’s mission is to increase the number of future Hispanic lawyers. To this aim, we offer multiple educational pipeline programs and initiatives to assist in the training and upward mobility of the U.S. Hispanic population.
Law student volunteers gain access to:
- Hundreds of Hispanic lawyers, law professors, state and federal judges, legislators, and other legal professionals;
- Continuing Legal Education (CLE) panels and plenaries on cutting edge topics presented by leading practitioners from across the country;
- Observe the 29th Uvaldo Herrera Moot Court Competition oral arguments;
- A variety of workshops; and
- Networking opportunities at the CCC2024 in Seattle, WA
HNBA/VIA is extending a complimentary CCC2024 full registration ($1,450 value) to volunteers who attend the required virtual orientation* PRIOR to CCC2024 AND fulfill at least 10 hours of volunteer service. A full CCC2024 registration allows the volunteer to attend all conference activities, except those requiring pre-registration or designated as “By Invitation-Only”, at no charge.
*Failure to attend the virtual orientation will result in revocation of your CCC2024 registration.

Walk-Through & Setup – Tuesday, March 19, 2024
CCC2024 Event Dates – March 20-22, 2024
CCC2024 Wrap-Up – Saturday, March 23, 2024

Please note: The HNBA/VIA will ultimately select volunteers from among all the applicants. This is a competitive process and not all who submit applications will be selected as volunteers.

POLICIES AND CODE OF CONDUCT
REGISTRATION POLICY:
Please note that you are not considered registered until registration payment is received. Payment must be sent no later than 2 weeks from submitting this registration. If we do not receive payment in 2 weeks, your registration will be removed and you will no longer be considered as “registered” at that specific rate.
REFUND POLICY:
If you are unable to attend CCC2024, you must cancel your registration no later than 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Erika Lopez-Tello, HNBA Director of Operations, at elopeztello@hnba.com. Cancellations received on or before the deadline above will be reimbursed fully minus a $95 administrative fee. Cancellations received after Wednesday, February 28, 2024, will not be eligible for a refund.
- Failure to attend CCC2024 shall not entitle you to receive any refund or credit.
- Your notice of cancellation of registration does not otherwise affect or alter your hotel and travel arrangements and you remain solely responsible for the costs of your hotel and travel reservations, including applicable cancellation charges.

Vaccinations or Proof of Negative COVID Rapid or PCR Test Required for In-Person Attendance
Attendance at the in-person CCC2024 shall be at your own risk. All attendees understand that vaccination against the COVID-19 virus will be left to individual attendees. HNBA/VIA makes no representations or warranties with respect to the vaccination status of those in attendance. HNBA/VIA will use best efforts to comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
