HNBA SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON CUBA

As the national voice of the Hispanic legal community, the HNBA has a vested interest in promoting non-partisan attention and contribution to emerging policy developments to  focus on reforms that ensure the safeguarding of civil and human rights of all Cubans on the island and improve the economic and political relations  between the United States and Cuba.

The HNBA’s Special Committee on Cuba studies historic and developing legal issues and works to help drive principled discussions to solve long-standing problems impacting US-Cuba Relations, Cuban civil society, human rights, economic engagement, and reconciliation between the Cuban exile-community and the Cuban people. The Special Committee drives these core objectives by amplifying  those priorities directly with policymakers, elected officials, academics, government representatives, and non-profits.
