Clarifications

Question: Should Linwood be Plaintiff - Appellee, rather than Plaintiff - Appellant as stated in the caption? At the trial court Linwood received a declaratory judgment implicitly affording complete relief. (Record 1 & 4). Hamilton appealed. (Record 4).
Answer: This is an error on our part. The caption on the 12thcircuit opinion should read “Plaintiff – Appellee.” Our apologies for this error and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Question: The problem cites throughout to the "Hamilton Code Ann." (Record 1) and "H.C.A." in the statutory appendix at end of problem. Is the Annotated Code of Hamilton the official authoritative statutory code of the State? Bluebook rules prefer citing to the actual code, not republished versions, correct? For example, when citing federal statute best practice is to use and cite to the U.S.C. not U.S.C.A.
Answer: The Annotated Code of Hamilton is the official authoritative statutory code of the State. You should cite it as you deem appropriate.

Question: The problem creates a bluebook cite for Hamilton District Court as "(D. Ham. 2022)". (Record 2). If Hamilton is abbreviated as "Ham." for court decisions, should it also be abbreviated in a statutory cite? (I.e. should "Hamilton Code Ann." be "Ham. Code Ann." under Bluebook rules?).
Answer: You should cite as you deem appropriate.

Question: What was A.L.'s age in February and November of 2020 and their current age.
Answer: A.L. was born on July 7, 2008.

Question: What are AL's preferred pronouns.
Answer: A.L.’s preferred pronouns are “them/they/theirs.”

Question: Pages 1 and 13 of the problem cite to "Hamilton Code Ann. § 902-11(a)(1)" and "Hamilton Code Ann. § 902-11", respectively. These are the only cites to the Hamilton Code in the opinion of the problem. However, in the statutory appendix, the statutes are numbered 902-11-101, 902-11-102, and 902-11-103. Which is correct?
Answer: Page 1 of the 12thCircuit opinion should read “Hamilton Code Ann. § 902-11-103(a)(1)," and page 13 should read "Hamilton Code Ann. § 902-11-103.”
